Qargha Lake is a popular man-made reservoir located about 9 to 10 miles (14–16 km) northwest of central Kabul, Afghanistan. Formed by the Qargha Dam built on the Paghman River in the 1930s, it serves as a major recreation area for picnics, boating, and dining with scenic mountain views
